21 Houses Buried By Merapi Lava

A FLOOD of volcanic lava from Indonesia’s Mount Merapi has buried 21 houses in Central Java.

Residents told Radio Australia News wet weather over the weekend turned into a “boiling flood” as the rains hit the volcano and washed down to the village of Agromulyo.

The Jakarta Post reported no fatalities, but one resident said a family of three suffered burns.
