4.5 Earthquake Shakes Germany

BERLIN — The German Research Center for Geosciences says western Germany has been hit with an earthquake.

The Potsdam-based center said the magnitude 4.5 temblor hit at about 1:45 p.m. local time, with an epicenter just east of the city of Koblenz.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or property damage.
