Canada: Sudbury Shaken By Two Earthquakes

Two earthquakes are confirmed to have shaken parts of Sudbury Tuesday night — shocking many people in the Minnow Lake and New Sudbury areas.

Earthquake Canada’s web site confirms two distinct events. The first earthquake happened at 9:06 p.m. and registered a magnitude of 2.8. The aftershock happened fewer than 10 minutes later and registered a 1.8.

Earthquakes Canada also reported the epicentre of both quakes was 47 kilometres east of Sudbury.

Sudbury police have reported no injuries in connection with the quakes.
