4.2 Earthquake jolts Bulgaria

Provadiya. A series of tremors were felt in the region of Provadiya measuring 4.2-4.4 on the Richter scale late Thursday.

There were no reports of injuries or significant damages. Several earthquakes were registered in the Balkans during the past two hours.

An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale was felt in Serbia, its epicentre being 20 km north from Kumanovo and 18 km west from Lipkovo. A second tremor with the same epicentre was registered later tonight measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale.
In Greece a 2.0-magnitude earthquake with epicentre 64 km north east from Patras was registered.

Another earthquake was felt in Slovenia, with epicentre 32 km west from Rijeka. Its magnitude was 2.6 on the Richter scale.
