A powerful earthquake has struck off the coast of Chile, followed hours later by a second lesser quake.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage.
The first quake with a strength of seven was felt over a wide area of Chile, frightning residents who were hit by a major quake and tsnumani a year ago.
More than 500 people were killed in that quake, which also caused $30 billion worth of damage.
